Temporary Structure
This project was designing a moveable structure that helps to promote the goal and aims of an NGO by allowing the public to understand the NGO's purpose through the experience people perceive from our design.
The Concept
''Struggle"
In this design, we want the public to have the same life experience as the NGO's children who are striving to receive an education, so that people may understand that we want them to be aware of the children's hardships that the NGO is attempting to alleviate.​
Progress
We design a delaying passage for the public to go in from one place to another in this example because we want them to struggle a little while they are using our facility. In addition, the space is organized in the sequence in which youngsters must strive. People will get the sense we want them to get when strolling across our structure.
Plan, Section, and Elevation
- Long way with changing the direction of the space stick to let people a bit sruggle using the whole space.
- Wave roof by lowing down the ceiling creates a bit of unfordable walking space for the user.
- The flow of the space is orderly arranged to explain the reality of the unprivileged condition.
- The use of material, allowing sunlight, and others are trying to give people a similar feeling to how those children experience daily.

Material Usage
We want to reflect the same living condition of the poor kids that the NGO is trying to help. So the material that we choose might also help us to achieve the sense we want.
- The polycarbonate is used as an outer covering for the roof in order to protect the inside space from the rain and still provide enough sunlight into the space.
- Roof is also formed by lots of bamboo panels that are connected from one to another. The gap of the roof allows enough bright into space.
- Use bamboo panels as walls to create space and border for the structure. Each panel is connected to the main bamboo columns for its standing. The panels provide good ventilation for inside spaces.
- The structure mainly used bamboo as columns and beams to support the roof and create form.
