The project takes place on a site located in a small village (Tramkhnar), Takeo province. It’s approximately 40km distance from the city center of Phnom Penh. The site is situated in the site of an old primary school named “ Tramkhnar Primary School’’.

Although the location was once a primary school, analyses revealed that the community frequently used it to meet, perform sports, exercise, dance, or jog after school hours. So as the community activities are not well served by any better design of the place or facilities as well as taking into account everything that is going on at the site, the project seeks to advance and enhance the activities by converting it into a leisure and recreation area while continuing to serve as a primary school.
